STORY
My love of gardening was cultivated by my mother. I have her to thank for my green thumb. I created this still life to capture my first bouquet of dahlias for the summer. The blue pot makes me think of my grandmother Anderson who loved blue and white china. I especially love the cracks in the paint. It adds texture and emotion to the image. Notice the little snail? My daughter Fefe was out in her garden when she came across this little guy. When she brought it in the show me, I asked if I could add him to the image. I dedicate this image to my mom and to the generations of mothers who cultivate a love for gardening with their children.
PRINTING
